Camp Quality     |     Autumn Leaves Studio Tour Scholarships

The artists of the Autumn Leaves Studio Tour are proud to support Camp Quality by raising funds annually during our three-day studio tour. We encourage all visitors on the tour to contribute to our fundraising campaign. Each studio participates differently. Some provide refreshments in exchange for a donation, others will offer a draw for a piece of art, and some studios donate a portion of their sales. Visitors are also welcome to make out a cheque directly to Camp Quality for which they will receive a tax receipt in the mail.

In addition to funds raised during the tour, some of our participating artists will offer workshops
for the campers throughout the year, giving them an opportunity to try their hand at
arts and crafts, such as pottery or painting. To learn more about Camp Quality, please read on.

Camp Quality was founded in Australia in 1983 by Vera Entwistle. Vera's mission was to provide a program of support for children with cancer and their families, an area not being addressed by any other service clubs or charitable organizations.

In 1988, Camp Quality was brought to Canada. It was initiated by a group of dedicated volunteers in Southern Ontario with the first camp being held in Priceville, Ontario. Since then, Camp Quality has expanded to seven locations across Canada, and we continue to grow today!

Camp Quality is more than a camp. It's a non-profit, volunteer organization which provides a year-round support program for children with cancer and their families.

Each of our seven camps across Canada and our year-round
programs are volunteer-run, community-funded and are
available at absolutely no cost. Our year-round program
includes family weekends, reunions and fun days for the whole family. Our signature week-long camping program provides a wonderfully unique opportunity for children with cancer to put
their illness behind them and concentrate on having fun! Each camper is matched with a trained adult volunteer and medical
staff is on-site.

Established in 1988, our programs provide children with the opportunity to try new and old activities and to make new
friends and memories that will last forever!

Camp Quality also encompasses a Puppet Programwhere
life-size puppets visit nearly 17,000 children each year in
local area schools to encourage sensitivity about cancer
and its effects.
